The first task we done for the music video project was a lip syncing activity. We were shown how to use the tools in Final Cut that would enable us to lip sync as easy as possible. We were then given a previous students final music video cut up into chunks, our task was to sync it all up so it went in time with the music.
I think that I caught the hang of syncing the lip movement together with the music very quickly, and also made the video look pretty good too.
Syncing up a soundtrack to a video is pretty simple. The first thing you should to make everything that little bit easier is to bring up the audio waves for both of the things your trying to sync. Mark out with the marker tool a specific point that is the same as on the other track. Bring these together and then your nearly there. From there it may be perfect, but usually its not. All you gotta do is have a little move around with the audio track and then eventually it will match up to the best it can be.
